The Training of Staff in Memory Care Communities

We sat down with the Director of Education here at NCCDP Denise Scruggs to talk about a series of topics regarding how to assist our loved ones living with dementia.
Let's Talk About Dementia-min (1)

We also want to talk about training of staff and and staff being compassionate. You know a well-trained staff member is a staff member that can do a better job and provide better care for your loved one. So, having a staff with a CDP after their name means they’re a certified dementia practitioner. So, keep that in mind as you’re looking, because that’s a status that they have to earn after taking classes and applying and that can make a difference again in the care that your loved one gets.
