Isaac Adusu, MSNPM, CDP, CADDCT, CDCT concluded the latest in a series of Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Care Trainings for Direct Care Staff at Seven Hills Rhode Island’s Corporate College. With more than 26 new CDPs, and another 12 scheduled for his September training, Isaac is proving Seven Hills commitment to dementia education and improved care.
“As a leader, it’s my ultimate responsibility to provide the tools, skills and knowledge for my team to function effectively”
Issac obtained his Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP) last year. Through his work as Area Director of Adult Services, overseeing 13 group homes at Seven Hills Rhode Island, he could see the rise in patients needing Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia specific care. He obtained his CADDCT certification to become a trainer in April of this year to educate and train his caregivers.
“The excitement our staff gets and the fact that they feel supported and have obtained the requisite skills to provide care to these residents is remarkable. Having an opportunity to provide training to my team is how we answer the call to care here at Seven Hills Rhode Island.”
