- National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners (NCCDP) will award credit for our members' participation in CMS MLN Connects™ National Provider Calls. “MLN Connects™ National Provider Calls are educational conference calls that help health care professionals and others in the health care field stay informed about and better understand Medicare policies and changes to the program that may impact their daily business functions. Continuing Education Info
NCCDP Members who are certified as CDP, CDCM, NCCDP Certified Trainers, CFRDT, CFR-DT are required to renew every two years. You will need 10 CEU’s or 10 CEs. We accept any healthcare-related topic listed in the NCCDP body of knowledge. If you do not see your topic please email us by using the contact us form for verification of your course/seminar will be accepted. We accept health care related topics via Webinar, E-learning, Magazine CEU, live seminars, Correspondence, College course, Two Year University Course, staff in-services, and conferences.
You must have a certificate that states the name of the topic, the date you took the class, instructor name, location, your name, and how many CEU’s or CE’s it is worth.
If you are sending proof of in-service. Please have the nurse educator write on the company letterhead listing your name, topics, date, and times these were presented. For example:
Topic: Communication
Date: February 15th, 2011
Time: 1:30 P.M. to 2:00 P.M.
NCCDP’s sister company is ICCDP International Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners offers a six-hour online Montessori course and CMDCP Certified Montessori Dementia Care Professional certification. You can use the six hours as part of the required hours needed to renew your NCCDP certification. NCCDP members receive a discount. Go to www.iccdp.net select CMDCP and on the drop-down menu select association discount. Then complete the CMDCP application.
